Deposit and Refund Policies

Purpose:

The Deposit and Refund Policies at TKI is established to ensure the day-to-day operation of TKI is going smoothly and without interruption. As TKI only accept limited amount of children at any given times, the support of existing customers is incredibly crucial for us.

The set amount of Deposit for every children is one(1) month of monthly fees, which need to be deposited during the registration phase. Deposit will be refunded according to terms and conditions that has been decided by TKI. The term and conditions is as follows:

Policy guidelines:

  • Customers or Parents are required to fill and submit Termination Form to TKI

  • The termination date must not be less that 60 days from the submission date of Termination Form

  • Receive a confirmation from TKI regarding the termination process

Absence and Leave Policies

Purpose:

The Absence and Leave Policy is here to help Parents navigate situations such as maternity leaves, temporary leave and extended leave. Depending on the durations and circumstances of absentee, TKI will provide necessary financial relief.

This only cover leaves up to 60 days, in event where Parents want to temporarily stop sending their children for more than 60 days, Parents are encouraged to terminate enrollment instead and re-enroll.

The policy only apply if TKI receive official explanation and request from parents, and TKI reserve the right to modify, lift and terminate any existing policy regarding Absence and Leave without informing parents. The term and conditions is as follows:

Policy guidelines:

  1. Maternity leave

    In event where parents want to stop sending their child for a certain period due to maternity leave, TKI allows a payment of half of monthly fees, limited up to 60 days period or 2 months payment cycles, whichever came first.

  2. Temporary leave

    Temporary leave cover situations such as personal problem, temporary loss of job, uncertain events that might lead to uncertain and erratic attendance of your child. Parents are allowed to pay only half of monthly fees IF the children attendance is less than 10 days within a month. In the situation where parents is still unsure how many days the children can attend in a month, and pre-emptively inform and request beforehand, the supposed half payment can be transferred forward to next month.

    i.e : family member is currently hospitalized thus your children might or might not attend more than 10 days in a month. Parents need to pay full amount first, and if the children attend less than 10 days in that month, TKI will accept half monthly fees on the next month, despite full attendance on the next month.

  3. Extended leave

    This policy cover situations such as absence due to Parents taking Annual Leave, going back to hometown and any extended absence with duration between 5 to 10 days. For situations that fall under this category, Parents can request for prorated monthly fees.

    this only eligible for parents that request for extended leave at least 14 days beforehand. Post absence request is up to TKI discretions.

Health and Safety Policies

Purpose:

This Policy is important to protect the health of fellow children at TKI. parallel to JKM and KKM call for a transparent and standardized Health Policy, TKI HSP is devised to follow closely guidelines created by KKM and necessary agencies.

This policy also cover necessary safety precautions and steps that we had take to ensure safety of children at TKI.

Policy guidelines:

  1. Temperature Requirement

    If a child exhibits a fever while at TKI with more than 38 degree Celsius we ask that they be picked up and can only return back to group care after fever free for 48 hours or Doctor endorsement.

  2. Health Check

    Our teachers always monitor the health of our children in our care. Children must be free of any fever, runny nose or cough at drop off. Parent will be notified if their children exhibits behavior of symptoms that are not typical of that child.

  3. Area Access

    Building access is only limited to students, authorized staff and acknowledged guardians of our children. Any other activities such as tour or visitation is strictly under monitoring of manager or staff.

  4. Sanitation

    Our surface cleaning, toys disinfecting and equipment cleaning is strictly following our established schedule. However this only cover equipment and toys that is owned and managed by TKI. TKI are not responsible by cleanliness of children-brought toys and equipment, which including but not limited to plushies, soft toys and powered/electronic based toys.

  5. Closure and Deep Clean

    If there is confirmed case of infectious diseases such as Chicken Pox, Measles, HFMD and equivalent, per requirement set by JKM and KKM, TKI will be closed with official notice for a decided period of time.

    this closure will not warrant any form of refund or repayment, and during the closure period TKI will undergo a deep cleaning process which may take anywhere between 1 to 2 weeks.

Zero Contact Policies

Purpose:

The Zero Contact Policy at TKI is established to prioritize the safety, well-being and comfort of every children under our care.

This Policy outlines the rules and regulations regarding physical contact between teacher and children, emphasizing a respectful and professional approach while ensuring essential care needs are met. The term and conditions is as follows:

Policy guidelines:

  1. No Unnecessary Physical Contact:

    • Teachers are strictly prohibited from engaging in any unnecessary physical contact with students. This includes, but is not limited to, hugging, kissing, or any form of physical affection that is not essential for the child's well-being.

  2. Essential Care Processes:

    • Physical contact is limited to necessary processes such as bathing, changing clothes, and other hygiene-related activities. Teachers will ensure that such processes are conducted with the utmost sensitivity, respect, and in compliance with established procedures.

  3. Informed Consent:

    • Prior written consent from parents or legal guardians will be obtained for any essential care processes that involve physical contact. Parents will be informed in advance and provided with an opportunity to discuss any concerns or preferences related to their child's care.

  4. Transparency and Communication:

    • Teachers will maintain open communication with parents regarding any instances of necessary physical contact. This includes providing details about the nature of the contact, the reasons for it, and ensuring that parents are informed promptly.

  5. Professional Boundaries:

    • All teachers are expected to maintain professional boundaries at all times. Any behavior that may be perceived as inappropriate or in violation of this policy will be promptly reported to the daycare management for investigation.

  6. Training and Awareness:

    • All teachers will undergo regular training on maintaining professional boundaries, recognizing appropriate and inappropriate touch, and understanding the importance of creating a safe and secure environment for every child.

  7. Supervision and Monitoring:

    • Supervision during essential care processes will be conducted by multiple staff members whenever possible to ensure accountability and to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Enforcement: Violations of the Zero Contact Policy will result in disciplinary action, which may include retraining, suspension, or termination, depending on the severity and recurrence of the offense.
