F.A.Q

Does TKI implement No Salt, No Sugar(NSNS) diet?

TKI does not fully implement a No Salt, No Sugar (NSNS) diet. However, we do not use sugar in our meals and are very mindful about the amount of salt we use, ensuring it is kept to a minimal and appropriate level. We believe that salt, in controlled amounts, is not only safe for children but also serves purposes beyond flavor enhancement.

For parents who strictly follow an NSNS diet for their children, we kindly request that you provide your own meals from home.

What if my children did not want to eat the food?

It’s completely normal for children to occasionally dislike or not feel like eating certain meals.

If your child refuses to eat the provided meal, our teachers will not enforce eating. Instead, they will respect your child’s preference and provide light snacks and milk throughout the day to ensure their nutritional needs are met.

Does TKI prepare fruits too and why it is not listed in menu?

Choice of fruit will depend on available selections at grocers as raw ingredients including fruits will be prepared daily to ensure freshness and safety.

Our selection of fruit includes Watermelon, Orange, Papaya, Grape, Banana, Honeydew and many more!

How long does TKI use the current lunch menu?

Our lunch menu is updated on an annual basis.

We typically begin testing new recipes in the second half of the year and finalize the updated menu at the start of the new year.

The current menu will remain in use until July. From that point, we will introduce and test new recipes alongside the existing menu, gathering feedback from the children to ensure the new options are well-received.
